Assessment 2 Due date: June 19 (Week 9) Create a tool which can aid your explanation of God’s Story to a disciple.
For those students in the God's Story The Bible course, we have arranged the use of the church auditorium for you to record your A3 video presentation using the church facilities. Following the 10:30am service on Sunday, June 28, you will be able to deliver your presentation from the church platform and it will be recorded through the audio visual system. Please provide a USB drive so the recorded video file can be placed onto your USB and handed back to you following your presentation. There is no obligation to record your A3 video this way but we thought it would be a good option for those looking for a simple way to record it.
Assessment 2 – Disciple a church member for 7 weeks. Due Date: July 3 (Week 11) Follow the discipleship plan from Assessment 1 over 7 weeks (about 2 months), keeping a log of your own progress and the process of discipleship. The person you disciple will need to fill out an evaluation at the end of the time so please make sure they are aware of this before they begin.
Assessment 3 Due date: July 3 (Week 11) Record a video of yourself responding to the following question from a person who is early in their discipleship journey: Q: So, what’s the Bible all about anyway? Your response should consist of an overview of the Bible’s structure, narrative and major themes and be based on all nine weeks of the lectures of this unit.
This will be the first session for the electives, with the sessions devoted to guest speakers and practical applications of what has been learned in the course until now. Please remember that we will not be viewing elective module videos at these sessions, which is a departure from previous terms. Therefore you will be responsible for watching your videos independently, with the view towards bringing any questions and discussion to the session to share if needed.
