Assessment 3 – Develop an Old Testament devotion Due Date: March 27 (Week 9) Use interpretive methods to interpret an Old Testament passage from which you develop a brief devotional message for a small group which shows them how they can apply/respond to the passage in their lives.
Assessment 2: Prepare and present to a small group (5-15 min) of people different to Assessment 1 Due Date: Friday, March 27 (Week 9) Using the Assessment 2 Document provided under the assessment tile, Revise, Prepare, Present, Record a video and Evaluate the same Message as Assessment 1 to a different audience; Making the changes required for the different context and audience requirements.
Assessment 2 – Provision of care role play and reflection Due Date: Friday March 27 (Week 9) You will be given two scenarios for which you must video-record yourself role-playing the provision of care using the skills you have learnt throughout the unit. Upon completing your role-play, you must reflect on how you could improve your care provision in a real-life situation.
Assessment 4 – Develop a New Testament devotion Due Date: April 10 (Week 11) Use interpretive methods to interpret a New Testament passage from which you develop a brief devotional message for a small group which shows them how they can apply/respond to the passage in their life.
Assessment 2: Growth and Development Due Date: April 10 (Week 11) Follow the assessment method and use the assessment documents located under the assessment tile to review and evaluate your growth over the term.
Assessment 3: Prepare and present a new presentation to a group (5-15 min) of different people Due Date: Friday, April 10 (Week 11) Prepare, Present, Record a video and Evaluate one of the following Ministry Message types. Communion, Devotion, Altar Call Tithe Message. Your presentation’s topic and type must be different from that of assessments 1 and 2 and must be presented to a different audience.
Assessment 3 – Execute your plan and evaluate your performance Due Date: Friday April 10 (Week 11) Execute your team plan from Assessment 1, incorporating input from your team. Record your progress in a logbook and evaluate your performance.
Assessment 3 – Care for self and others in ministry Due Date: Friday April 10 (Week 11) Execute your self-care plan and record your progress in a journal throughout the term. Provide a basic level of care to those you engage with within your church community throughout the term, using the skills you have learnt in this unit. Log and reflect on your provision of care. At the end of the term, debrief with a leader in your church who has experience in pastoral care about your self-care and care throughout the term.
