Assessment 1 – Plan to undertake self-care Due Date: Friday October 31 (Week 3) With the help of a leader within the church who has experience in pastoral care, develop a 6-week plan to meet three self-care goals throughout the term.

This will be the Week 4 session for the electives, with the sessions devoted to devotions, sharing, guest speakers and practical applications of what has been learned in the course until now. Since we will not be viewing videos at these sessions, you will be responsible for watching your videos independently, with the view towards bringing any questions and discussion to the session to share if needed. Assessment 1 - Prepare and present a speech to a group of friends/mentors/class (5-15 min). Due Date: Friday November 14 (Week 5) Using the Assessment 1 Document, Present to a group of at least 2 familiar people and obtain feedback from them afterwards. (You will present it again in A2, so make sure it is a message you can develop and research in greater depth.)

Assessment 3: Using resources from your church, create a communication policy document for your team Due Date: Friday November 21 (Week 6) Research your churches policies and procedures, then develop a policies and procedures guide for communication in your team
